We stock the full range of Australian standard sections: SHS 20×20 up to 250×250, RHS 50×20 up to 250×150, pipe 15NB through 150NB, equal and unequal angle, flat bar, round bar, square bar, PFC channel 75 to 380, universal beams 150UB to 610UB, universal columns 100UC to 310UC, plus SL reinforcing mesh and N-grade reo bar. What's the heaviest universal beam (UB) you stock?

610UB125 — 612mm deep at 125 kg/m — is the heaviest UB off the rack at the Burleigh Heads yard. Heavier mill lengths are available on order.

Do you cut every standard size to length?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bandsaw cut-to-length is standard service across every section we stock — SHS, RHS, pipe, angle, flat, round, square, PFC, UB and UC. Send a cut list and we'll have it ready for pickup or delivery.

What grade is your structural steel?

Accepted Answer

Hollow sections (SHS, RHS, CHS) are Grade C350L0 to AS/NZS 1163. Hot-rolled sections (angle, flat, round, square, PFC, UB, UC) are Grade 300 to AS/NZS 3679.1. Reinforcing is N-grade (500 MPa) to AS/NZS 4671. Pipe is medium-grade to AS 1074.

What standard lengths does steel come in?

Hollow sections (SHS, RHS) are stocked in 6.0m and 7.5m. Hot-rolled bar (flat, round, square, angle) is 6.0m standard, with angle also in 9.0m. PFC and UB/UC are 9.0m and 12.0m mill lengths. We cut all of them to size on request.

What sizes of galvanised steel do you stock?

DuraGal (in-line galvanised) is stocked in the common SHS and RHS sizes through to 100×100 and 150×100. Hot-dip galvanised supply is available across every section — sent out for galvanising to AS/NZS 4680 after fabrication.

Do you stock reinforcing mesh and reo bar to AS/NZS 4671?

Accepted Answer

Yes — SL square mesh from SL62 through SL102 in 6.0m × 2.4m sheets, F-series trench mesh, and N-grade deformed reo bar from N12 to N40 in 6.0m, 9.0m and 12.0m lengths.
